life has so many downs and highs it can be exhausting and exciting so many people sit by passively and watch other people Living and then wonder what they are doing wrong. wrong? what the fuck does that mean? it's whatever the fuck you want it to mean. do what you want and fuck anyone that says you are wrong.
been kinda positive lately so i thought it'd be cool to have some fun cynical lyrics.
"I know what it looks like, the ship’s not capsizing. The driver’s just drunk or asleep at the wheel. The map is illegible, we spilled beers all over it. We’re all piss poor heroes, we’re aching to drown in a sea of bad metaphors: trite, overused. Well, I’m sorry I guess talking just gets me confused. And as a result, conversations don’t start, they sputter and stammer. They spiral like shit trying to go down the drain but keeps spinning ‘cause forces are making it stay and I don’t wanna talk ‘cause you don’t understand. This wasn’t for anyone, I just wanted something that wasn’t prepackaged, and that wasn’t preplanned and now my only plan that is damn sure to happen Is slowly decaying on a shelf filled with millionaires saving the future in a sweet fucking press release, gloating on pedestals. You can’t make a change unless you’re there bragging, unless you’re a dick about something that’s pure to you. always gets fucked."
anyways going to Colombia in early March, im going to be teaching english, pretty nervous and excited. im supposed to be teaching and living in Villavicencio:
is Bogotá's greener, warmer neighbor located just 3-4 hours away from the capital city. This town boasts a year round temperature of about 20 degrees celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit) to 38 degrees celsius (100 degrees). The town itself is quaint, small, and cozy. This location does not have a constant flow of events and attractions, though Villavicencio is the kind of the city that you make a life in. You get to know your neighbors, you play sports with your friends, you wave hello to your local store keeper. You become famous throughout your neighborhood for not being Colombian. It is a place where warm and loving Colombian people raise their families, where people get together at the malls or go to the pools on the weekends, and where life is simpler and slower-paced. Living here will allow you to immerse yourself into an authentic Colombian town. If you are open to making new friends, building relationships with your community members, seeking out things to do for fun or creating your own adventures-- then Villavicencio is for you.
